What We Do

Housing

Helping individuals and families achieve stability through a continuum of temporary, transitional and permanent affordable housing.

Housing stability is often the first step to tackling homelessness and its root causes.

VOA-GNY brings specialized housing and on-site support services to those who need it most, helping them address the barriers to housing security that they previously faced, including access to health care and steady income.

We are one of the largest providers of housing services for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in the New York region. VOA-GNY is also an award-winning nonprofit developer that’s tackling the affordable housing crisis head-on through public-private partnerships. We are poised to develop 1,700 units of affordable housing over the next five years.

VOA-GNY currently manages 2,966 units of emergency, transitional and permanent housing, including 290 scattered site apartments and 890 units owned by VOA-GNY. These provide a total of 4,136 beds.
