For over a decade, Diane Carey, Senior Residential Manager, has been a steady presence in our Northern New Jersey residential programs.

She currently oversees Theodora House, a group home providing essential support for men and women with behavioral health needs.

Diane also provides leadership across Myrtle House, Bay City Residence, and Maud Residence, helping rebuild teams and streamline program processes.

“I approach every day with the mindset of helping people build independence,” Diane says. “It’s about meeting each resident where they are. If we can help you improve, we will.”

Diane’s role is dynamic and hands-on, balancing staff guidance, program management, and resident support across four locations. No two days are the same—she might be checking emails, completing assessments, running program errands, or helping a resident cook dinner.

Diane’s proudest moments come from seeing residents thrive. “When someone transitions from here to CSS, that’s a big deal,” she shares, referring to clients transitioning to more independent community housing. “Sometimes their attitude will change just by seeing what they can do.”

Outside of work, Diane recharges through crafting. “I’ve been crocheting since I was five,” she shared. “This Christmas, I made scarves for my family.”

Thank you, Diane, for your unwavering dedication and heart in supporting residents and staff alike.
