In a recent article in the Daily News, VOA-GNY’s Street to Home pilot program was mentioned as one of the solutions to combat street homelessness using a Housing First approach. Catherine Trapani, VOA-GNY’s AVP of Public Policy, notes that thousands of vacant supportive housing units could be used immediately for Housing First without risk, potentially housing more people.
