Over $2.6 Million Raised From The Honickman Companies Golf Invitational

Funds raised benefit Volunteers of America-Greater New York and UNCF.

September 10, 2025 – NEW YORK, NY — The Honickman Companies, Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-GNY), and UNCF (United Negro College Fund) today announced that $600,000 was raised at The Honickman Companies 6th Annual Golf Invitational event held on Monday, September 8, 2025.

Championed by The Honickman Companies’ leadership, the event has now raised over $2.6 million since its inception in 2020. All proceeds benefit VOA-GNY and UNCF.

“Each year, this event reminds us of the power of community and the impact we can make when we come together,” said Reginald Goins, President and COO of The Honickman Companies. “We’re proud to stand alongside our partners, donors, and friends to support the transformative work of VOA-GNY and UNCF.”

“Service is at the heart of everything we do,” Goins continued. “From New York to Virginia, our commitment to uplifting communities through partnerships with organizations like VOA-GNY and UNCF remains unwavering. This Invitational is a celebration of that mission.”

The Angela and Reginald Goins Charity Fund continued their tradition of personally matching all contributions made at the event. Goins serves as Board Chair for VOA-GNY and sits on the UNCF New York Leadership Council.

The Honickman Companies also continues its sponsorship of VOA-GNY’s Operation Backpack® initiative, which provides school supplies for children experiencing homelessness, and supports VOA-GNY’s annual fundraising gala in New York City. Proceeds benefit more than 70 housing, health, and economic empowerment programs across the region.
