How the COVID-19 Crisis is Impacting Operation Backpack® 2020
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we must drastically rethink how we run Operation Backpack® 2020. We cannot rely on public backpack drives or teams of corporate volunteers. Instead, we must raise $500,000 if we are to meet our goal of a full backpack for every child in a NYC shelter who needs one.

VOA-Greater New York Participates in Annual Census of Unsheltered Homeless Individuals
In January, presumably on one of the coldest nights of the year, thousands of volunteers gathered to canvass the streets in every borough of New York City as part of the Homeless Outreach Population Estimate, or HOPE Count.
