Through their involvement with Volunteers of America, HSBC has positively impacted the lives of disadvantaged children across the nation.
Their support of Operation Backpack extended to three metropolitan areas where Volunteers of America has a presence and an Operation Backpack program — both in New York City and Chicago — helping us deliver more backpacks in 2014 than ever before: 18,400 in New York City alone.

So who better to demonstrate this commitment than teams of HSBC employee volunteers, delighted to take a hands-on role in preparing New York City children for the first day of school? Many expressed a personal satisfaction at helping these students begin the year with confidence, and spoke of getting an early start on preparing for next year’s campaign.
