October Volunteer Opportunities
Trick or Treat!

Initiatives like Operation Backpack® and Brightening Birthdays™ exist to help children living in our shelters feel as "normal" as possible. So, what's Halloween without costumes? If you'd like to help our little pirates and princesses, hold a drive to collect new, unused Halloween costumes for kids living in our shelters, so that they can experience the joy of dressing up for the holiday. Or, talk to us about hosting a Halloween party at a shelter complete with snacks and games.
Domestic Violence Awareness Month
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The women and families living in our DV shelters are survivors of domestic violence, and what better way to show that you appreciate their bravery than by holding an event to lift their spirits or empower them to continue improving their lives. Host a dinner or an art party that will bring joy to families in recovery!
For details on how to get involved, please contact Andrew Zibell for more information.
