November Volunteer Opportunities

Veterans Day is November 11

As far back as the Civil War, Volunteers of America has helped veterans struggling to reintegrate into civilian life. Help show your gratitude to the men and women in our care who have served our country by hosting a special Veterans Day celebration at one of our two permanent, supportive housing residences for veterans in Manhattan and the Bronx. Organize a games night, talent show or other activity, and complete it with a delicious meal served by your team. We'll work with you to plan the perfect way to say "thank you."

Host a Thanksgiving Feast

Gather your team and host a special Thanksgiving meal for families in our shelters. Consider also arranging a fall craft, game or goodie bag for the children. We'll work with you to plan a festive event and meal that all can enjoy.
