November Volunteer Opportunities

Veteran's Day is November 11

Volunteers of America has been helping veterans since World War I, and now you have a chance to be a part of that legacy! Host a party to honor the sacrifice that these men and women made for our country. We have two permanent, supportive housing residences for veterans in Manhattan and the Bronx. Our residences have space to congregate, and our vets love to play board games and BINGO. You can also bring the fixings for a delicious fall meal. Consider raffling off a prize at your gathering and adding something extra special to the event. We'll work with you to plan the perfect party to say "thank you."

Help Us Prepare our Pantries

The holidays are quickly approaching and we would love to have help stocking the pantries in our shelters with non-perishable food items. Hold a food drive at your office or with your community group.

For details on how to get involved, please contact Andrew Zibell for more information.

We Are Still Collecting Halloween Costumes!

We are still collecting new, unused Halloween costumes for the children who live in our homeless and domestic violence shelters. Follow this link for a quick and easy way to purchase and donate a costume in time for our kids to Trick-or-Treat!
