The Staten Island Early Learning Center

Many of the girls and boys who attend the Staten Island Early Learning Center have significant developmental delays associated with autism, Down syndrome, attention deficit disorder and neurological and emotional issues, and all receive intensive, individualized attention to address their issues.

Committed to maximizing the learning potential of every child in our care, the school offers Special Education Itinerant Teachers (SEIT) with expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), a one-on-one therapy designed for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

The Staten Island Early Learning Center has music therapy, a therapeutic horseback riding program and summer and weekend programs.

“Alumni” families stay actively involved in the school, coming back for visits and to offer peer support to new families.
