a New York Winter's Eve


On Monday, December 10, 2012, Volunteers of America-Greater New York hosted its 17th annual gala, a New York Winter’s Eve, in the Grand Ballroom at The Plaza.

More than 350 guests gathered for an elegant evening, featuring a cocktail reception, gala dinner, exciting auctions and inspiring awards. The Spirit of the Founders Award, for leading the way in community involvement, was presented to Margery Kraus, President, CEO & Founder of APCO Worldwide. Richard P. Motta, President & CEO of Volunteers of America-Greater New York, was honored with the Richard F. Salyer Award, for leadership, compassion and service to those in need. And Maxwell Feller and the Northern New Jersey Youth Services Staff were presented with the Volunteers of America Achievement Award for persevering and sustaining faith in the face of adversity, and being an inspiration to others.
