Thanks to the generosity of numerous individuals and corporate groups throughout New York City, this year's Holiday Campaigns were more successful than ever before. We delivered thousands of beautifully wrapped holiday gifts to elderly individuals and children in our care.

Toys for the Holidays is Volunteers of America’s holiday gift drive for children. Your gifts brighten the holidays for children in Volunteers of America homeless and domestic violence shelters, pre-k schools for kids with developmental delays, and group homes for at-risk youth. In most years we are able to distribute toys to shelters other than our own across the city.
Gifts of the Heart is a year-round program that is especially meaningful during this season. Our goal is to ensure that every adult in our care who lives by themselves, has no involved family, and runs the risk of being alone during the holidays will not be forgotten. Recipients of these gifts include the elderly and adults with developmental disabilities.

Holiday Food Vouchers are given to families who are homeless and others in need. These food vouchers act as cash in supermarkets and allow recipients to shop for food that is special to them rather than have to rely on a food pantry or soup kitchen for their holiday meal. Volunteers of America's beloved Sidewalk Santas collect funds for this program.
Holiday Parties have become a much-anticipated tradition in our shelters for homeless families, in our group homes for youth in foster care and for our adults with developmental disabilities.
