Ballington House is a 29-bed residential program for pre-release offenders in the custody of the New Jersey Department of Corrections. One of three community residences in the Project OASIS program, Ballington House provides support and a full range of intensive therapeutic services as residents secure employment or continue their education and prepare to become productive members of the community.
Bay City Residence

One of four residential sites in the Project PROMISE program, Bay City Residence is a 30-bed health care facility providing 24-hour supervision for adults living with severe and persistent mental illness. Project PROMISE provides comprehensive services with the goal of helping its consumers achieve independence in the community.
Booth House

Booth House is a 72-unit residence providing permanent supportive housing to single adults with psychiatric disabilities and a history of mental illness and homelessness.At Booth House there is a strong emphasis on building a sense of community among residents. This supportive environment assists men and women in rebuilding their lives, reclaiming their dignity and moving towards increased independence.
Brandon Residence
New York, NY
Located in a desirable residential neighborhood, the Brandon is a safe, clean, and affordable option for women visiting New York or relocating here from other areas. Residents include accomplished musicians, artists, students, educators and businesswomen.
Brandon Men's Program
New York, NY
This program assists men in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, with the goal of helping them return to an independent life, sober and drug-free. The program can accommodate a total of nine men at a time.
Bronx Early Learning Center
Bronx, NY
The Bronx ELC is one of two model programs providing comprehensive educational services to preschoolers with cognitive or language impairments, social and emotional difficulties, or sensory and motor issues. In some classes, developmentally delayed children learn alongside their typically developing peers. Supportive services are also available for the family.

Charter Oak Community Support Services

Our program helps people with a wide range of disabilities reach their vocational, social and independent-living goals. Our skilled and caring team works closely with consumers to create an individual service plan that focuses on their strengths, builds on existing support systems and addresses areas needing remediation. Our consumers include adults with vision and hearing impairments, acquired brain injuries, developmental disabilities, autism, mental illness, dual diagnoses and more.

Community Support Systems

Community Support Systems provides the support, training and education that clients need to maintain psychiatric and medical stability and ultimately attain permanent housing. Our case management approach guides clients to set realistic goals for themselves based on their individual needs, and identifies community resources appropriate to address these needs.
Crossroads Residence
New Rochelle, NY
A 17-bed residential treatment program for men recovering from alcoholism, Crossroads provides comprehensive services with the goal of helping residents return to a sober and productive life in three to nine months. This program—an integral part of the Hudson Valley community—was commended by Westchester County Executive Andrew J. Spano for helping people overcome the ravages of drug addiction.
Developmental Services Administrative Office

The Developmental Services Division provides residential services for developmentally delayed adults and pre-school for developmentally delayed children. The Administrative Office oversees and manages our developmental programs located in the Bronx and Staten Island, and is responsible for budget management, human resources, mental health, and other administrative and management operations.

Harborview Senior Apartments
Jersey City, NJ
This is a senior housing complex in Jersey City serving 113 at-risk clients. Case managers develop a comprehensive service plan, make necessary referrals and follow-up to ensure services are delivered and that seniors can stay in their homes.
Horizon Program
Bronx, NY
With 160 scattered-site apartments in Upper Manhattan and the Bronx, the Horizon Program provides permanent community-based housing and comprehensive services for people living with HIV and AIDS. The program enables single adults and families to live independently in the community, as self-sufficiently as possible, while providing extensive support services and counseling.

Jamaica Women's Next Step Employment Shelter

Jamaica Women's Next Step Employment Shelter is a 65-bed program designed to serve the shelter system's most resistant clients. The program provides intensive, structured case management services coupled with strict client responsibility in order to help clients overcome the barriers that have prevented them from moving out of the shelter system and into permanent housing.

The Keener Assessment and Rapid Re-housing Shelter is a 234-bed facility that assesses clients' immediate needs upon entry into the shelter system and quickly places them in permanent or transitional housing.

Outreach teams engage homeless people at JFK airport to assess their needs and offer assistance with the goal of helping them move off the streets and obtain needed services. Kennedy Outreach staff is on call 24-hours a day, seven days a week, to provide service for homeless individuals requesting help or to respond to concerned citizens reporting homeless individuals in crisis.

A transitional facility for homeless families, Lydia E. Hoffman Family Residence offers 24-hour security, on-site childcare, classrooms, and recreational space for 35 families, each with their own apartment. A full range of supportive services provides the help a family needs to achieve independence and obtain permanent housing.
Mid-Hudson Division Administrative Office

The Mid-Hudson Division provides intensive home Case Management for people living with or affected by HIV and AIDS, residential treatment for men and women recovering from addiction, and temporary shelter and comprehensive services to homeless adults with special needs, including substance abusers in recovery and people living with AIDS or other serious health conditions. New Hope is an 80-bed facility providing comprehensive services and safe, anonymous housing for individuals and their children recovering from domestic violence. By promoting the importance of safety, responsibility and independence, survivors gain long-term skills that enable them to overcome everyday challenges after leaving the shelter.

Parenting Skills Partnership Program

Through in-home visits, highly trained counselors help parents cope with the children's unique behavioral problems and work with the children to reinforce socially acceptable behaviors, and help them make a successful transition to family living.
Queens Forensic Linkage Transition Program
Jamaica, NY
The Queens Forensic Link Program serves 250 adult men and women living in Queens who have been arrested, detained by the police or spent time in jail and also live with serious mental illness. The program provides comprehensive one-on-one support for individuals trapped in the cycle of repeat incarceration and hospitalization by linking them with the services they need to reenter community life.

The Reception Center is a 46-bed, short-term program offering comprehensive services to service-resistant mentally ill and elderly-frail homeless men with the goal of placement in permanent housing within six months. These individuals are unable or unwilling to take advantage of traditional shelter services and programs due to severe and persistent mental illness, an untreated medical condition, or advanced age.
Regent Family Residence

Regent Family Residence is a transitional residence providing 24-hour security, on-site childcare, classrooms, and recreational space for 140 families, each with their own apartment. A full range of supportive services provides the help a family needs to achieve independence and obtain permanent housing.

Richard F. Salyer House

A 146-unit facility providing permanent supportive housing to a mixed population of families, the elderly, formerly homeless people and those living with HIV and AIDS. The facility features on-site support services for residents, including case management, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, recreation, and linkage to community services and activities.
Rikers Island Discharge Enhancement (RIDE)
Jamaica, NY
Volunteers of America's RIDE program provides pre- and post-release case management to Rikers Island inmates. Services begin in the weeks preceding release and focus on helping clients find suitable housing and employment opportunities, as well as linking them to appropriate benefits and community resources. The goal of the program is to help Rikers Island inmates make a smooth transition to independent living and reduce the likelihood of re-incarceration.

Rose House is a 96-unit residence providing permanent supportive housing to formerly homeless people and those living with mental illness or HIV or AIDS. Staff work with residents to develop an individualized plan for success, based on the goals, desires and ability of each resident. To help residents cope with the challenges of everyday independent living, we assist with medication monitoring, crisis intervention and daily living skills training.

Located at the 30th Street Men's Shelter in Manhattan, the Service Engagement Team identifies and engages homeless individuals who are "service resistant" to assure the client's immediate needs are met and to advocate for an appropriate disposition based on an assessment of their needs.
Staten Island and Booklyn MICA ACT Program
Staten Island, NY
The Staten Island and Brooklyn MICA Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program offers community-based treatment for individuals with a diagnosis of mental illness and chemical addiction (MICA) and a history of non-compliance. The ultimate goal is to help clients attain stability in terms of their immediate needs and follow their treatment regimen, ultimately improving their psychiatric and medical stability and lessening their dependence on the inpatient hospital system.
