Volunteers of America - Connecticut
Through its Charter Oak Community Support Services program, the Connecticut division of Volunteers of America - Greater New York provides services and support for people in Connecticut living with a disability.
Our skilled and caring teams work closely with our clients to develop service plans that address vocational, social and independent-living goals, from teaching a consumer how to wash and fold his own laundry or take her medications on schedule, to helping him/her obtain and succeed at a job.
We focus on strengths, build on existing support systems and address areas that need remediation. Our consumers include adults with vision and hearing impairments, acquired brain injuries, developmental disabilities, autism, mental illness, dual diagnoses and high school students transitioning from school, into the adult world.
