Volunteers of America strives to enrich the lives of everyone it touches, from our clients to our employees and volunteers. The stories presented here are from and about real people - from a wide variety of backgrounds - who strongly believe in Volunteers of America's mission and who understand that our work produces everyday miracles.

From youth about to “age out” of the foster care system, to adults and children with special needs, to individuals and families who are homeless, to older adults on fixed incomes, 43,000 people are helped through more than 80 programs in the tri-state area. Here are just a few of their stories.
